VW have made a Polo Rally Concept to illustrate there intent to take on the World Rally championship by 2013. They are planning to use there experience of winning 3 Dakar Rallies to make the Polo a winner in the WRC.

The New Honda Accord 2012 Model

The new  2012 Honda Accord model gets some style tweaks, along with a revised four-pot diesel, and improved handling. Revised 2012 Honda Accord makes its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show and go on sale across Europe in April. On the outside 2012 Honda Accord, only a trained eye sees a revised grille with other elements of chrome headlamps with clear indicators and implementation of a new front bumper. Other changes include the surface of the red taillights, adding a decorative chrome strip above the license plate and the introduction of three new colors: Alabaster Silver, Graphite Luster.

Inside 2012 Honda Accord, new seat and door panel materials in the atmosphere increase, while Honda has a metal-look finish trim on the steering wheel, gearshift, handbrake, door panels and instrument panel. 2012 Honda Accord Type S models get an exclusive textile, leather seats finished in dark gray, black and red head liner foot lighting (blue for the rest of the region).

On the 2012 Honda Accord technical side, engineers have worked their magic on a 150HP 2.2-liter i-DTEC 4-cylinder diesel engine, causing the internal friction to improve fuel economy and reducing emissions.

Moreover, the 2012 Honda Accord cabin noise made quieter through better with a stronger rear glass, while the top model agreements can be specified with Active Cornering Light and High-Beam Support System. The latter detects an oncoming vehicle and automatically returns to the high-light on the normal setting, allowing freer driving at night.

The New Volkswagen Polo Wins Two What Car Awards

The new Volkswagen Polo has claimed two titles for Volkswagen at the prestigious 2010 What Car? Awards.

At the annual ceremony, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, the new Volkswagen Polo kicked off a successful evening for Volkswagen claiming the hotly contested "Supermini" title and was also named Best Buy in the more than £11,000 sub-category. These accolades for the Volkswagen Polo SE 1.4-litre 5dr model add to a string of awards which the new Volkswagen Polo has won since launch in September 2009, including the 2010 European Car of the Year title.

Presenting the Polo\\'s award, What Car? Group Editor, Steve Fowler commented: "We first got behind the wheel of the new Polo at the Geneva Motor Show and we were immediately blown away by its airiness and the quality of its interior. The Polo\\'s fine drive and a cabin that is effectively a Golf in miniature had us convinced."

Take a spin in the Scirocco R around the virtual 'Green hell'

New racing game for the iPhone is available to download for free now.

As the covers are taken off the new Scirocco R at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA), Volkswagen is revving it up with a new interactive racing game.  The “Scirocco R 24 hour Challenge” allows gamers to drive the most powerful and fastest accelerating production Scirocco ever built through a series of difficult corners and expansive landscapes similar to the Nürburgring.  The game is available now to download for free for the iPhone and iPod touch from the Apple App store.

A perfectly animated race circuit that comes so close to the legendary Nordschleife makes the “Scirocco R 24 hour Challenge” pure racing game fun.  Three different play modes – qualifying mode, 24 hour mode and multiplayer mode (via Bluetooth) – liven up the game, and extras including the genuine engine note of the Scirocco R, different sound effects and the chance to customise your own Scirocco R provide long lasting enjoyment.  The player can choose to control the Scirocco R by touchscreen or by tilt sensor to provide the best possible intuitive driving fun.

In real life, the star of the racing game, the Scirocco R, is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine producing 265 PS and 350 Nm of torque.  This accelerates the Scirocco R to 62 mph from standstill in 6.0 seconds (5.8 seconds with DSG gearbox) and on to a top speed of 155 mph.  The Scirocco R is also fitted with Adaptive Chassis Control (ACC) and ensuring greater grip in all conditions, especially on tight corners, is XDS (first seen on the new Golf GTI) an electronic cross-axle traction control system.

The mechanical changes to the Scirocco R are joined by a purposeful new look.  The new front bumper, featuring a set of LED running lights, is dominated by a trio of deep airdams providing optimal cooling to the engine and braking systems, while Xenon headlights frame a new gloss black grille element set into which is a single ‘R’ badge.  The rear section features the distinctly enlarged roof spoiler and twin chrome exhaust pipes separated by a striking polished black diffuser.

This is the second time that Volkswagen has used a racing game as a form of marketing.  In March this year, as the new Polo debuted at the Geneva Motor Show, the racing game “Volkswagen Polo challenge” was presented; with more than 1.4 million downloads in four weeks, it conquered the Apple App stores worldwide.

The Scirocco R will be available to order in October with prices and specifications due to be announced nearer this time.
